It has been scientifically proven that passing ultraviolet light through a water supply eliminates water-borne viruses, bacteria and intestinal protozoa such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Not only is it an effective means of keeping water safe but it is an environmentally conscious way of doing so. We carry many different brands of UV systems and would be more than happy to custom tailor one to your specific requirements.

Generally considered to be the highest quality water available on a residential basis the RO system provides convenient, safe, worry-free, ultra-pure water to a dedicated faucet mounted on your kitchen sink. Reduce your reliance on bottled water and do your part for the environment at the same time by having us install a system specifically designed for your family’s requirements. These systems reduce copper, lead, selenium, barium, radium 226/228, cadmium, chromium and TDS that affect the quality, taste. smell and overall safety of your water supply.

These types of filters are highly effective in filtering sediment, sand, and particulates from a water supply and are ideal for protecting sensitive and expensive controls on today’s home mechanical systems. Whether on the home water supply or on the irrigation supply line feeding the sprinklers, we have systems to accommodate any flow rate required.

These filter systems are ideal in situations where there is a limited area, such as in a small utility room or in areas where there is no way to discharge waste from one of our self-cleaning whole house systems. Relying on different configurations of disposable cartridges, the filtration systems can be designed to handle many common household water problems. While limited in its filtering capacities and applications, a correctly designed system can provide a home with a low cost, low maintenance alternative.

Here on the eastern end of Long Island our groundwater supply has a naturally occurring pH of 5.4 to 7.2. pH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity in a water sample, with 7.0 being absolutely neutral. As the numerical value decreases, the amount of acidity in the water increases. Water with a pH lower than 6.4 will be corrosive enough that it can literally decay the plumbing in the home and will often result in a bluish/green staining to occur in the plumbing fixtures and in your hair. Acid neutralizers installed on the main line of the home elevate the pH of the water and prevent this corrosion from occurring, resulting in protection of the plumbing and elimination of staining.

Commonly referred to as “charcoal filters”, granular high activated carbon filters are made from naturally occurring raw materials (coconut shells or coal). The material is “activated” by introducing high heat which increases the surface area and, therefore, the filtering capacity of the media. Carbon filters are commonly used to treat foul odor, bad taste, or to remove chemical impurities from the water supply. These systems are ideal for municipal water applications where chlorine taste and odor can be a nuisance. Since the filtering capacity of carbon degrades over time it is important that the media be changed regularly to maintain filtering ability. If you are experiencing a bad taste or odor to your water or suspect chemical intrusion, this may be a solution. Call us and we can recommend the system that is best suited to your needs.

Water softeners act to eliminate the problems caused by water that is high in calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese. These conditions invariably result in water that is corrosive and which leaves reddish/brown stains on plumbing fixtures, clothes, dishes, and tile. A softener eliminates these problems and provides you with water that is cleaner, clothes that are whiter, dishes that sparkle brighter, soap that lathers better, and plumbing systems that last longer
